A Call to Repentance

The word “repent” means to change one’s mind and associated behavior. We are saved by the grace of God through faith in the finished work of Christ (Ephesians 2:4-5), but if we want to experience our new life and freedom in Christ and grow by the grace of God, we must repent of our sins (2 Corinthians 7:10). Our new belief about “who we are in Christ”, should be reflected in our daily lives. After Jesus was glorified in heaven the Holy Spirit was sent to all those who believed in the finished work of Jesus (John 14:16). The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and is given to every believer to help us live the Christian life - the moment we are born again spiritually. The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth (John 16:13) and that truth will set us free (John 8:32). The remainder of this study will guide us through this truth-exposing process (of mind, body, and soul) which is known as repentance.
